Both the Swiss Tennis Academy and the national squad are part of Department of Elite Sport.

Who manages the Swiss Tennis Academy?
The head of the STA manages the STA. The final decision-making for the STA is the responsibility of the head of elite sport

Who manages the national squad?
The Swiss Tennis national team is managed by the head of elite sport. The head coaches lead the national coaches and therefore the operation oft he daily business.

Who is allowed to train at the Swiss Tennis Academy?
WTA and ATP players from all over the world
Players with a N-Ranking
Swiss squad category C players
Players ranked better than R4

Who is allowed to train at the Swiss Tennis National Squad?
Swiss squad category A and B players
Swiss squad category C players, if approved by the national team head coach
Extended Davis and Fed Cup team
Training partners of the national team

Are Swiss players permitted to train at the Swiss Tennis Academy?
All nationalities are welcome.

From what age can you train at the Swiss Tennis Academy?
The youngest athletes are 13 years of age.

Do Swiss Tennis Academy players have an advantage when being selected for the Swiss Tennis squad category A and B over players who are not part of the Swiss Tennis Academy?
No, the chances are the same for all young Swiss players.
The national squad players are nominated by the head coach U23 and head of the junior training program and selected along with the head of elite sport.

Are training and matches held between the Swiss Tennis Academy and the Swiss Tennis National Squad?
Yes, as long as the players play at a similar level.
The focus is on match synergies rather than training.

From what age can you stay at the "Swiss Tennis House", which is on the grounds of the National Performance Centre?
As soon as players are independent and mature enough.
There is a 24/7 supervisor at the "Swiss Tennis House" supporting and looking after minors.

Does the Swiss Tennis Academy offer tournament support and supervision?
Yes, of course. Both at national and international tournaments.

Some are professional athletes and some still go to school.
Educational support and supervision is held through a person from Swiss Tennis (see "Team").
